Came to your site because of a google search for Mark Tester...odd connect, but I read the comments before I looked through your site...posted and thought while I was here I would listen to your music...I was blown away with your ability to really speak to the heart...you are indeed gifted...glad I ended up here this evening...

Hi Greg...curious about the Mark Tester that Mark Marek referred to being at UT in the 70's...I think I went to High School with him and would love to touch base with him...if the same one and you are in touch would love to hear from him...take care...live in Kansas and have not heard your music but it sounds from your friends that you are awesome...

I'm Dave of Dan and Dave. (Yes we still live.) We've met on several occasions, and I would like to learn "Martin's Song" as well as I can for my own enjoyment. I can play it pretty good, but there are a few mystery chords that escape me. Any chance you could email the chord progression if it's not too much trouble? Not often do I choke up while trying to play a song the way I do on "Martin's Song"! What a fabulous inspiration it is. Thanks bud. Good to see you out there performing your magic!

Being a fan of Walt and Tina, I've had the pleasure of running into many talented artists. You my friend are one of the most skillful pickers I've come across in a long time. Such a joy to hear you last night at the Crossing. Look forward to the next time.

Hey Greg! How's it going? I'm in Lubbock, not teaching anymore...taking time away to be a secretary, no muss, no fuss, no parents to deal with. I'm also in 3 bands here in town, we play western swing, jazz/swing. TripleShott is the most successful; we gig every week somewhere! I play piano, do vocals, and play some percussion. We're working on a website-bought the rights to "www.TripleShott.com".
I'll let ya know when it's up.
Looks like you're super busy! If you ever come to Lubbock, let me know. Take care! Lori Sealy

You know the place that you and my uncle Mark (Musharraf's boy) play at on Sundays? I was thinking, since I'm coming down again in April, we could play there on Friday or something like that, or just play at Marky's house like last year.

Just incredible...no matter who you play with; Pauline, Bonnie, Kevin Fowler, Holden On, J.K.Anderson, Whitfield-Todd, O'Really?...it's always those incredible guitar licks, vocals, songwriting and performances in each group I catch you live. But my favorite is where the audience can heckle,or request anything, and you never cease to amaze when you perform a request...(the Backstage is a perfect place) to catch the greatest band...Greg Whitfield doing a live solo show. Keep it up my friend!!!

Greg, As an engineer and producer, I get the pleasure of working with many great musicians and singers. Every little once in a while, one will stand out to me. Its not just a talent thing. Its more of something that just grabs my soul. Its what makes my job stay exciting. Its why recording music is my profession. Its why I love my job. I have to say that my first recording session with you reaffirmed those thoughts. You are a very special artist that I look forward to doing many more sessions with. I love your record and can't wait for the next one. Thanks for making my job so easy and fun.

Hello Greg, my long lost unofficial big brother. Seeing the messages from Dean and Don brings back younger days in Dallas, when I saw you all play at The Studio Club in Dallas and when I came to Austin to hear your band. Being the younger brother of Gretchin and knowing you was too cool for a teenager. I still have the 1978 cassette tape you gave me when you lived in Denton and the WSW flier from around the same time. I'm glad to hear that you still play the Yamaha G-85a classical guitar I gave you back in 1975. Well I'm no longer that 15 year old teenager, but when I hear you music I am... Your a Good friend whom I respect so much and love as a brother...Can't wait to see you in Dallas in April... John Boy
